Kites aren’t just for kids anymore! Experience the excitement and artistry of modern kite flying at the 27th Annual Berkeley Kite Festival in Cesar Chavez Park, at the Berkeley Marina.

You’ll find something for everyone as you witness Team Kite Ballet, Japanese-Style Rokkaku Kite Battles, the World’s Largest Octopus Kite, and 20,000 sq. ft. of Giant Creature Kites from New Zealand!

Skate Contest @ Proof Lab (July 21)

Proof Lab surf shop, located in Mill Valley, CA, is hosting its first “Wizard’s Cauldron Skate Contesttomorrow from 10am to 5pm!

The contest will take place at their indoor facility — built by legendary Mark “The Wizard” Leski.

Skaters will compete in five-minute heats with the top 2 advancing to a 10-minute final. A $500 grand prize will go to the skater with the best line.
