Innovative Backpack Rescues Injured Soldiers

One of the toughest, and most crucial, parts of war is evacuating wounded troops. The Pentagon and NATO have recently discussed the possibility of using UAV’s (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) to safely evacuate injured troops.

However, an Israeli company (Agilite) has developed an innovative high-tech plastic backpack/sling/bungee hybrid that allows troops to carry injured persons to safety—on their backs. Check out the video below!

The IPC can also be used by non-military personnel and is ideal for hikers, firefighters, and emergency responders.

Max Frommeld and Arno Mathies, design students at London’s Royal College of Art, have created an origami-like boat that folds into a backpack-size package for easy storage and transportation. They call it the Foldboat.
