There are still openings for Big City Mountaineers’ 2013 Summit For Someone climbing season. Summit For Someone give you the opportunity to take on the challenge of a major climb guided by world class guides, and your financial investment goes directly to supporting Big City Mountaineers’ mission of bringing at-risk urban youth into the outdoors.

With 19 different climbs to choose from, there’s something for everybody from experienced alpinists to novices looking to bag their first peak. Destinations include domestic locations like Mt. Langley, Ranier, Shasta and Olympus as well as several exotic international climbs like the Everest Base Camp, Aconcagua, and Kilimanjaro.

Look at it this way: for about the price of what you’d normally pay out of pocket to hire a guide, obtain gear, and plan your trip on your own, you can participate in a Summit For Someone climb and since the money goes to a great charitable cause, most SFS climbers rely on donations and grants from friends, families, and employers.
