We’re excited to announce that we’re bringing the JanSport Bonfire Sessions back for 2012 with more city stops and more bands!

The third annual JanSport Bonfire Sessions is set to take place in five cities across North America. The idea is simple – a free outdoor concert featuring a locally adored band and the good vibes of a backyard bonfire. This year, the live performances will be captured on film for a new live music documentary series on Noisey.com, VICE’s online music channel.

For now, visit JanSport’s YouTube channel and see what the Bonfire Sessions are all about. We just posted brand new videos from last year’s Bonfire Sessions in Seattle, Montreal and Austin at www.youtube.com/jansport.

Our first Bonfire Session of the year will be held on Tuesday, March 13th at Mohawk Bar in Austin,  TX during SXSW and will be headlined by none other than Austin psychedelic rockers White Denim. The lineup will also feature Austin locals the Strange Boys,  post-punkers Bear Hands and the jangly indie-pop of Fly Golden Eagle. We’ll also be giving away limited edition silk-screened prints of the show poster designed by local Austin artist Justin David Cox.

Doors will open at 1pm and you can visit  www.jansport.com/bonfiresessions to RSVP to receive event updates as well as find info on where the Bonfire Sessions will be coming next.
